Wrexham - Disney+ - A Documentary

Two American TV and Film stars, Ryan Renolds and Rob McElhenney have purchased the club.

The documentary follows the progress of the club after their purchase.

It's not "in your face", very light hearted, with no one taking themselves too seriously. There are serious moments but they are well managed and don't go on forever.

It's a 9 - 9.5/10 for me.

As usual I won't say a great deal more to prevent spoilers.

A club I know well. Many people exhort me to watch but I haven't given in to that temptation (yet). I suspect it will just annoy me as I am too close if I do.

Give it a whirl, I worked in Wrexham for 40 years and although I hate football the documentary was really enjoyable. Lets face it Wrexham is such a dump these days it needs a touch of Disney magic.

A friend of mine lives there. Houses are ridiculously cheap, is his reason. He agrees with your characterisation that it is a dump. But he says that the series glamourises the place and so paints a misleading picture. But then I suppose that is the point of Disney/Hollywood.

I wouldn't say I am the exact opposite - I don't hate any team - but I work in football.
