One of my favourite British comedy films, available on the BBC iplayer until about 27.1.24.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b ... scoundrels

Cast includes: Terry-Thomas, Ian Carmichael, Alastair Sim, Dennis Price, Peter Jones, John Le Mesurier, Irene Handl, etc.

Some great scenes. Dennis Price and Peter Jones as two slippery secondhand car salesman selling an old banger for a packet. John Le Mesurier as a snooty maitre d' guarding entrance to his restaurant. Terry-Thomas as the alpha male.

It's just a joy.

Any film with Alastair Sim is a film worth watching :)

The Stephen Potter books on which the film is based are excellent too.

Thank you for your post Bluedonkey, we watched School for Scoundrels yesterday evening and it cheered me up no end after a particularly grim day.
