It's live!

Best viewing at the moment is the live PO Horizon system public inquiry.
Today, Stephen Bradshaw, a former Post Office investigator, was seen stonewalling trying to weave and dodge straightforward questions from the various (polite and low-key) barristers to the extent that the president Sir Wyn Williams - with his lovely lilting Rhondda accent - had occasionally to intervene and put questions very simply in words of one syllable.
Judge Judy histrionics it ain't. Very watchable it is.

I have been watching the inquiry on and off for the last few months. I had to take a break from it after this phase from last November and it's a painful read/watch. The full performance is truly, dreadfully awful to watch. It's over 3 hours long but the first 6 or 7 minutes will be enough for most. I'm so glad that finally things are coming to the fore.

Never mind CBE's. Nick Wallis & Jason Beer both deserve a knighthood for their roles in this fiasco.

Weirdly I've followed this via private eye for a good while and arrived in the UK three weeks back as the hype was building for the show. I didn't quite grasp at the time that this was a "novel" thing or new info
- we had "robodebt" in Australia recently and the similarities are striking
But here's the question... is it normal for EVERYONE in the UK to be talking about exactly the same thing?
I've seen almost nothing else on the news, the daytime TV, the crap on in the pub, the stuff on the tube, the topics on Question Time!?
This or "The Traitors" I suppose

Yes, but only for a very very short time. Today we will be talking instead about whether or not sending fighter jets into Yemen makes us the goodies or the baddies (hint: the tabloids will SUPPORT OUR BRAVE LADS, no matter the rights or wrongs).

Send the jets in then off to visit the Ukraine. How's that for diversionary tactics ?
