not seen it before. Very moving.

This looks like the inspiration behind The Night Sky a 2022 series starring Sissy Spacek. I've loved her since Badlands!

Yes, that's good too. Actually this reminds me that a few years back I discovered and went through a (short) phase of watching non-canon Star Trek films. Some fan-films and others featuring some familiar faces. Quality was, well, varied, and I wrote up all the ones I watched in a thread starting at viewtopic.php?p=375675#p375675 and my posts that follow.

There was one IMHO particularly good one which this thread has reminded me of, Chance Encounter (20mins), which I wrote up and you can find links to in viewtopic.php?p=377889#p377889.

Oh, and it's difficult not to recommend watching the 6min one linked to by viewtopic.php?p=377958#p377958 :D

I'll have to look that out!

I don't think you could have really gone wrong casting the pair chosen.. but to do such a good job of telling a story, in 5 minutes, with no dialogue... as well as they did... I'm very impressed.

The best 5-minutes worth I have seen was Coal – the third of the three Spare Time clips made by the GPO film unit and directed by Humphrey Jennings. The depiction of the mining community in Pontypridd in 1939 is unforgettable.

Continuing the theme (short films not time travel) I enjoyed this one this morning.

Make sure you watch the titles at the end.
