It's a 'joke' based on homophones, so I doubt it really matters, unless one is homophonophobic, which is probably illegal these days

Truth is, I don't know the answer to John's question. I'm not that familiar with the language used for describing single malt whiskies, so I don't know if it is 'oaky' or not. 'Peaty' I'm familiar with and it's not that. I've read Talisker described as "big and blousy" which I'd agree with. It big and upfront and not particularly complex but very drinkable and would never be embarrassing to bring out of the drinks cabinet if someone asked for a single malt.
Anyway its not my fave, that's currently Bunnahabhain. A bottle of which I've just found in me bote. Cheers!
