What was your first job?
My first job was working in a Lab checking stool samples for parasites.
It was great at first and I volunteered for extra tasks but by the end I hated it and was just going through the motions.

It must have been difficult when you were down in the dumps like that....

Blood-sucking managers! I too worked in a furniture factory but in stocks and chairs, which ended up paying dividends.

Re: What was your first job?
Which first job do you mean?
I worked on a poultry farm in summer holidays from school.
I did my National Service in the RAF on leaving school.
I worked on the Christmas Post in my Christmas vacations from University and as a bus conductor during the long vacations.
I worked for a process plant contractor as a site engineer on graduating from university.
Take your pick. My favourite was the work on the buses but, as they used to say, it would be a super job, were it not for the travelling public. You did have ample opportunity to engage young ladies in conversation.

Re: What was your first job?
I'd like to table a motion regarding off topicness..
(Interestingly (!!!) That phrase has the opposite meaning in the US)

Motion seconded [there’s a weak joke in there].
However, it’s not the way he tells ‘em, it’s the way he accesses posts - thus not noticing the board name.

So what is the consensus?
Has the motion been passed?
Are there any parasites in it?

In the place where I first worked, it was well-known that the accountant was always constipated.
He just didn't know how to budget at all.....

Couldn't he have worked it out with a pencil?

We did actually suggest that to him, but he didn't seem all that happy with the idea.
He grumbled something about compounded logs, which I actually thought shouldn't have been too difficult for someone with a mathematical background.....

I was thinking of moderating this thread but felt I might be in danger of falling between two stools.

Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't all the pioneers of toilet humour been interred?

Let's not get bogged down or loos perspective. It's harder than ever to love-a-tory. So time toi let the jokes flow freely and take the p***.
