It was a French discovery and was named after France. In nature, it is found in tiny quantities in Uranium which was discovered by a German. It is estimated that no more than 30g of Francium exists on Earth at any time.

On a more serous note (which many of the infantile minds on here will find snigger-worthy), there is a compound, also known as [expletive deleted] or arsacyclopentadiene, which has the preferred IUPAC name of "arsole". Note that there is no "e" between the "r" and the "s"; this is a perfectly clean word which mature minds find neither offensive nor in any way humourous ( ).

The chemical term, "aromatic" is used to refer to a ring-shaped molecule that is flat. Arsole is not entirely flat and its aromaticity is debated,
