Trouble is it is just not believable. The principal character just comes on and repeats the same thing every time! Then everyone ignores her, and the one in the middle yells 'DIVISION' everyone leaves and then sneaks back in again. We have started this at home now.
One of the minor players spoke for half an hour extolling a policy then sat down and voted against himself.
A child could do better than this, it is supposed to be for adults?

That's a formula I recognise.
But you're right, it's more a sitcom than a soap.
