Can I offer a sobering thought please? It's the thought that's sober, not me

Before I was correctly diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea I was taking a significant amount of medication for clinical depression including two separate antidepressants each day.

It didn't make me happy. Nope. But I am still able to chuckle at the above joke.

Because it includes me. It doesn't walk around me and pay homage to my cross climbing abilities. It includes me.

The joke isn't laughing at me. It isn't even laughing with me. It's a joke. A throw away moment that made me chuckle.

Sometimes jokes arrive at the wrong time. Sometimes they are sent out correctly. Sometimes they overstep.

I'm not going to take offence at a joke about mental health because I have had issues with mine. Why should I?

But choice is individual and I cannot speak for anyone else but me
