There was a time when trees were decorated and other decorations were put up on Christmas Eve, and taken down on Twelfth Night, or Epiphany. Commercialisation changed all that, and now they start after Halloween or Bonfire Night.

Bearing in mind that we are holding a General Election on 12 December, I think we could all well wait until 13th. maybe I am being dim and that ius what AiY was referring to anyway
