The sign is on the Pett Bottom Road . A short distance from the recently closed Duck Inn, where Ian Fleming is said to have written "You Only Live Twice".

Was the Duck Inn that tiny, tiny pub, like just one room? If so I recall visiting it sometime in the nineties. C.

Possibly. I first used it in the late sixties. I'm pretty sure it had just one bar then. It has changed quite a bit since then and I have used it very infrequently, particularly when it became more restaurant than boozer.
