Re: Weather warning
Just been talking to a colleague up north (Borders) and they've got 10" of snow. Blue sky and reasonably mild here (bit nippy in the wind)

Re: Weather warning
Obviously a drippingly rich area: mothers owning two pairs of pyjamas indeed. Nice Mr Corbyn will be after them with something akin to the window tax.
Here In t' frozen north, they would need to visit Uncle-with-three-balls at 08.30 prompt to redeem their second pair.
And working 23 hours a day as a boy sweeping t'chimneys leaves little time to wear pyjamas, even if t'lad shared a pair with Mum (one leg each). At least chimneys are warm, especially when t'gaffer lights a fire underneath as an incentive.
Older entrepreneurial brother avoids total starvation by renting fifth-hand pyjamas by the minute at school-run time to status-conscious mums.
(But read Mayhew's London Labour and the London Poor to realise that real life was far far grimmer than this)
