Some people at my old school used to feel that sex between pupils was compulsory...it was a boys school.

My friend's younger brother managed to buck the trend by shagging the new young female English teacher.

Strangely he came out as gay a couple of years later.

There was a time when teachers badly needed sex education.

I went to a Scottish catholic high school.

A friend and I were expelled for continuing to spend platonic lunch breaks in the art room with our girlfriends after a warning not to. The girls were not punished!

Weeks later, we found out the school had no such arbitrary authority so returned as though nothing had happened. After a teachers' meeting, where shouting could be heard from outside, we were dismissed from Maths, French and English Highers classes. (similar to A Levels in England). Our subsequent career choices were majorly affected. He became an RAF officer and my restricted school cert meant I could virtually only study architecture.

In those days, you didn't need to shag behind the bike sheds to invoke the wrath of God! I didn't visit the sheds for a further 5 years. Them were the days!
