Nah. We out in the sticks think 1572 is as yesterday.
Many years ago, I lived in Rolleston-on-Dove, Staffordshire where the Mosley family (yes – that lot) had been Lords of the Manor since 1625; they left in 1923. But older villagers still referred to the family as the ‘new-uns’, and the Rolleston family who had been there since around 1100 until they sold out to the Mosleys were still regarded as the real squires.

My wife grew up there, and her mum still lives in Beacon Road :-)

So you can confirm that, despite appearances to the contrary, that road even existed in 1572?

1572? But only a slight exaggeration. We regularly received letters from Burton-on-Trent council offices (Rolleston was in their patch) addressed to Meadow Lane. Our address was Station Road and hadn’t been Meadow Lane since 1894 or thereabouts.
(The street sign left by the Romans – Via Pratum – is probably still there, although the previous one - Ffordd y ddôl - left by the Celts was getting a bit shabby...)
