Was the the dentists this morning and whilst waiting to be seen couldn't help but listen in to a very interesting conversation between two young ladies.
No.1. Ooooh I havent seen you in ages, not since I started uni a couple of years ago
No.2 How's uni, what subject are you studying?
No.1 Media studies, what're you doing these days? I seem to remember you didn't do too well in school and never made it to uni.
No.2 No, I work in Lidl
No.1 Lidl - poor you (snigger, snigger)
No.2 Why poor me? It pays well, I've just bought my own house and I get 6 weeks paid holidays a year. When you leave uni with your mediocre degree in nothing special I'll probably see you when you serve me in McDonalds.
Got called in to see the denist so didnt hear anymore but my money's on the one working in Lidl. No. 2 was so patronising I was tempted to join in myself.
