Open up a document to read and . . . ."CLICK HERE TO SEE THE AMAZING NEW FEATURES"

"WE'VE ADDED NEW FEATURES"

"Click here to see what's coming soon"

AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH

You've not added a new feature in 15 years that I've actually used. Not one.

And another thing. Apparently I've acquired something called Microsoft Teams on my computer, which enables other people in other places to bugger about with my files while I'm still working on them. I've never asked for this thing, but it appears to be the default setting for my Excel files now. And it stores them all out in hyperspace, or somewhere like that. :|

Well sod off, whoever you are. They're my files, and a lot of them are passworded for a good reason, and they're staying on my computer, thanks. Any more of this interference from you, and I'll have to remind you what happened to that pesky Mrs Cortana. She invited herself into my life, fell down a great big digital hole, got chopped into pieces and has never been heard of since. That'll teach her.

Ah, so you have something to hide. Come on, tell us more, don't be shy. Video files, by any chance?

Bit unimpressed last time I installed Office 2016 on OH's PC that I couldn't choose what she uses, so Skype, Showerpoint, Access, Onenote etc. gets installed whether you want it or not. Boo hiss.

Curses, foiled again. All right, I confess. My cherished collection of old Clangers videos - I can give them up any time, honestly I can. But being stuck at home with all that time to fill - well, it's so much harder to stay off them. And I'm not really harming anyone, am I?

Look, come on, give me a break. I've already got a criminal record, haven't I? A whole cupboard full of them, if you really must know. And all those Monty Python sketches that aren't politically correct any more. Promise you won't tell?

On another note, I was highly amused by that BBC news item about the disadvantages of Zoom conferencing. About the boss who chaired a team meeting without his shirt on. And the participant who was informed that everybody could see he was watching porn videos on the sly while he was in the conference. Oops.

Don't get me started on one note. I don't use it and yet almost weekly I have to remove it as the default printer. Can it not take the hint?
