So I decide to sign up for the online service, book a GP appointment etc.
Then I get a message ... I have to provide a photo of photo id, including a photo of me holding the photo id, which I haven't done yet.
Then I get sent a sixteen character Passphrase
Then another message with a nine-digit account id
Then another with a ten-character username
And finally - perhaps - an eight-character password
How to complicate a simple process. I wonder if this was designed by the same buffoons who designed the new premium bonds system. No wonder our taxes are so high.

Re: NHS online
And knowing the way guvvermint stuff works, you'll prolly find having applied for on-line access you're now locked out of all other ways of accessing your GP!
Even if you fail to activate it.
