Awwwwww.
We had two twin cats until relatively recently, one of them long-legged and the other short and squat. (This genetic disparity is perfectly normal. When a female cat's on heat, she's anybody's for a couple of days. Go figure. )
Anyway, the tall one could do twenty yards in 0.1 seconds and could grab a dragonfly in mid-air at ten paces. And the short stumpy one could get up onto the kitchen worktops with not much more than a twitch of her little legs. (She could also make it up an eight foot wall if she could hit it at the right angle so as to bounce, grab and take a second jump while still in mid-flight.)
Anyway, the little bastard had my steak off the kitchen island more often than I care to remember. Christ, how I miss that cat.
