This article raises streams of questions in my mind, not least why there is not a photo of these 'fragments of wood'

The Times this morning tells us that the fragments were found in an old cigar tin and after it was opened the curator identified them as the 5.000 year old fragments of one of three artefacts recovered from inside the Great Pyramid of Giza by Waynman Dixon a British engineer in 1872. They have been carbon dated to between 3341 and 3094 BC.
