3,000 ....and still only a Lemon Quarter - just how many do you need to post to get on the next rating?

I’m guessin’ 5,000 but what would it be? Half a lemon followed by a lemon at 10,000 possibly.

I can’t recall if RS has his Lemon Fool badge. Not yet available via eBay etc but far rarer than a Fool fridge magnet, ballpoint pen etc.

Measure activity others ways and you probably would not be the leader.

For instance, many of your posts are short and pithy. The "highest number of words posted" award might well go to our resident essayist Gengulphus.

The "most links and citations" award would probably go to our resident Googler-in-chief PinkDalek.

The "most meaningless generalisations and obscure references award" I might modestly claim for myself.

I don't use Google (on this PC that is) but I think you'll find that some regular users at Polite Discussions provide many more links than I manage!

Then there are others who like to use three words, when one would probably do. ;)

I am also reminded of the, possibly apocryphal story of Winston Churchill, when asked how much he charged to make a speech.

He replied, “£2,000.”

“That’s a lot. We only wanted you to talk for ten minutes.” the event organiser replied.

“In that case, it will cost £4,000,” said Churchill.
