My 17 year old (how did that happen) asked me what that thingy was for. And I didn't know.

That won't come as a surprise to most of you, who know that the only thing I do know a lot about is Binking. So in the interest in becoming better informed I found out.

Now that I know what it is, I thought it would make a nice thread title for a post here at LoOTP to attract 'thank you's.

Anton Flettner was born in Eddersheim.

Eddersheim to Minsk is about 1,000 miles by road.

My SWMBO wasn't overly impressed when I told her I wanted to get a Stockbridge Damper for the washing line (inspired by this post). She reminded me that the whole point of a washing line is to get rid of the dampness.
