Can we still celebrate this day? Dare we fly the flag?

Happy St George's Day. Shame its not a bank holiday.

Also think we should St George's as our national flag instead of the union jack. I'm near the border with Wales, and they have Welsh flag all over. BTW the Welsh flag is my favourite having a dragon is great.

Hmmm, half Turkish, half Palestinian. Never came to Britain at all. Which makes him an odd choice for our national hero. And all the less so for Tommy Robinson because he's celebrated by Muslims as well as Christians. Served in the Roman army before they killed him. A professional migrant!

Here's what the Indy said about him seven years ago.

I'm surprised their dragon wasn't killed by St George. Then again I've not seen it for a while, are they hiding it down pit. :o

Us English do have a white dragon but it's not so well known. In the story, the Welsh dragon defeats the English one though. :o

This is a day late now, but this may be a bit of fun to have over a cup of coffee.

This is a friend's work, recorded by me and two other friends, as part of our community theatre writers group activities.
(ie It is not for financial gain)

(no spotify account needed AIUI)

Enjoy - warning though ... some swearing in context of the character portrayed.
