I have posted my first poll on this site, inspired by Bink's post above. It is meant as a serious scientific wossname. The point is to get a clue as to how common it is, and so the "not seen" option is as important as the "have seen" option, and the third option was only added for amusement and is to be treated as another "no I ain't" option.

Not only have I not seen a red admiral this year (or any other as far as I can remember), I've only seen about 4 butterflies this year, all cabbage whites or similar. Pretty much par for the course. I guess butterflies are not fond of west central scotland.
