Profiting from countering illegal activities

The economic consequences of fraud in the financial system are substantial. Bank of America e.g. spend about $6 million a month re-setting passwords which often leads to criminal actions. This is an interesting lecture, the speaker having been portrayed in a very successful Spielberg Movie, (Catch me if you can) showing how he made his money & then became a game keeper as a way to get out of jail, rising to a high level in the FBI. The lecture covers how easily financial systems can be gamed, both in the past & how it is much easier now & how passwords will soon become obsolete. There is substantial money to be made by the companies whose password free systems are adopted with Microsoft having put $100 million into the FBI's preferred system, but there are various proposals. The coming use of cyber systems for criminal activities such as using the various intelligent speaking systems such as Amazon Echo, as illegal monitors, into your life, the ability to take over cars, houses, utilities, smart meters etc likely extending to be a world wide phenomenon & the use of IOT systems for criminal purposes & the likely ending of current accounts as bill paying technologies
. All of these current & potential criminal routes will bring substantial economic returns to the companies developing counter measures & this interesting view into the criminal mind set, how the FBI uses agents put into commercial organisations to gather intelligence etc gives many pointers as to what to look for in terms of potential investments in a way that one won't find in brokers notes on cyber security:
