This kind of BS irritates me immensely. I had to suffer one of these once and just put strongly disagree on every answer. Didn't hear back. No doubt some HR flunky can divine my personality type just from this response alone!

Also VPl. Sorry VP. Seems this is far and away the dominant 'type' here. Maybe someone could set up a poll and we can compare the population here to the general percentages given? Or perhaps we should just read our horoscopes instead!

ha that was fun - Opinion hunter here. Not much of this really fits me if I'm honest but this bit did make me smile in the detailed report..

Tips
Talk to an adviser: As you can be overly optimistic and lack investment confidence, getting a professional to guide you could provide more realistic expectations and assist you in taking the necessary steps to achieve your investment goals.

Maybe it's my optimism, but I'll pass on the extra fees on what is essential a global equity tracker portfolio with a bit of income trusts thrown in.

I gave mine as junk@gmail.com which seemed appropriate. ;)

I tried it and have now forgotten what they said. It is, to be fair, good marketing, but I am not sure it helps. It is probably BS, but it may not be total BS. However, I don't think it is worth spending much time on to work out what merits it has.

As a number of people know my main commercial activity for a number of years was writing software for investment managers/stock brokers and I also have been an active private investor for a number of years (probably 30, but I am not sure precisely). There is a lot to learn about investment. I am not sure that this marketing exercise teaches very much.

When I put in (what I intended to be) a crazy set of answers for a middle-aged female it came up with Vigilant Planner. Oops!

Just found this thread.

Apparently I'm a "level headed optimist"

As this hasn't been posted :-

The level headed optimist
As an optimistic and calm investor, you cope well with uncertainty and are good at tolerating the ups and downs of markets. You tend to think the future will be similar to the present so your financial goals may not match your future circumstances. You value the advice of your network and are likely to follow what others do so that you won’t regret your decision. Your confidence can make you impulsive and your optimism can make you think that since things are good now, they will continue to be good.
Investment strength - Calm and tolerant
Defining characteristic - Always see the bright side of things
Most likely to - Assume that the future will be similar to the present
Least likely to - Get anxious
