Yes, he did some pretty impressive theoretical stuff (which I struggle to understand). However, his key achievement is only "management of wealth". I am even more impressed by the reported death, in the same Bloomberg link, of the co-creator of the lithium-ion battery John Goodenough who recently died at age 100. Most people in the world live without active wealth management, but few have not been impacted by the invention of Li-ion batteries.
