50km today...slight misunderstanding

My wife told me last night that she was cycling 50km this morning and "invited" me along, an offer I couldn't refuse.
It was a truly beautiful morning, about 17c at 7.00 as we started the ride, hardly a breeze.
I was trying out a ten year old Kona Jake the Snake cyclocross bike that I've ridden a maximum of about 5km before (to the city centre and back).
I also have not ridden more than about 10km in one trip on any bike in the last two or three years!
Wifey set off at a smart pace (younger and a regular road rider and spin class devotee) she was trying to break me!
Up one steep hill I was grunting a bit and she was engaging me in conversation...about England and the world cup.
"Have we got a semi then?" she asked
"Semi! I can't even think of sex at the moment" I replied.
