Painting name on a frame

#69405

Postby cinelli » July 25th, 2017, 10:33 am

I’d like to paint my bike frame but wonder how I will add the manufacturer’s name on the down tube. Previously I have used transfers but have found that eventually these peel off. Does anyone have tips or experience of this, please? If I try to do the painting freehand, it could well look really amateurish. Thanks.

I think you need clear lacquer over the transfer to stop the peeling.

Yes I did that but after several years, they peel off.
