Nobel prize winners

After reading one of JM Coetzee's novels for book club (admittedly I read the wrong one!) it got me wondering if there are any winners of the Nobel prize for literature that anyone would recommend? I don't have extensive reading experience of the winners but my feeling is that they are not the most accessible or straightforward of authors. Saying that, I do highly rate Kazuo Ishiguro and was quite surprised that he won this year.
