A bit OT, but the BBC radio drama about Patrick Moore is currently being repeated on R4.

Probably because its the 60th anniversary edition of Sky at Night on Sunday.

It got closer than that:

The object, measured to be almost a kilometre wide, came within five times the distance between the Earth and the Moon.


It was only five times as far, not five times further, which is 384,400 km closer to my head!
