Hi
Can anyone suggest a solution for snoring - which works. I'm a loud snorer and need to sort this out.

My snoring correlates with my consumption of Ethanol.

Does anyone know why the noise of snoring does not seem to wake up the person snoring but can wake up a partner?

There's been a great deal of investigation into this phenomenon, and having studied this area in quite some detail myself, I think the scientific term is '
Spite'...

May I reinforce Aleisters wise advice please.
I am diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea. My "condition" is congenital. I do not snore and (until recently) I have never been overweight. Indeed quite the opposite. If you suffer with day time fatigue you may have sleep apnea.
If I may suggest you find two minutes to complete this form. (Don't worry that's it an American form. The NHS use the same form. It's the first I found when I "googled" it.)
https://narcolepsynetwork.org/wp-conten ... 052210.pdfIf you score over ten you need to see your GP.
And please if you don't want to discuss this on open boards contact me through PM if I can be of any help.
