I have wallpapers on my home PC.
My favourites are landscapes - especially hills, mountains and snow.
What I have done over the years is collect some high def pics from the web.
Then I realised that I could use photos from holidays too. Doh!
When out walking/cycling I'll stop to take a few photos on my phone.
I'll add these to my wallpapers. I now have 400 in my collection (no people ).
On my home laptop I run a slideshow for the wallpapers so that they randomly change every 15 minutes.
In this way if I see a wallpaper it will either be a pleasant scene, remind of a great holiday or a nice walk/cycle ride.
The wallpaper displays for a while dimply on the lock screen (Linux).

Likewise, except that mine change every ten seconds.
I have thousands of pics dating back to 2007, each week I choose an album and run with that. Could be 20 pics or 100 or more.
It's interesting how the random shuffle seems to come up with the same pics, one can go a week and not see them all.
Alarming however that I can look at some of them and think... 'I don't remember that at all....'
