My new can of Halfords De-Icer spray has gone all Australian on me! When held the right way up, it delivers a jet of gas but no de-icer. (Regardless of temperature.) But I can get it to work by turning the can upside down. Shaking the can makes no difference. And yes, it's a full, heavy can, not an empty one.
My first supposition was that the propellant chemical was somehow 'floating below' the de-icer stuff, so that the internal tube was only getting at the lower-down propellant, not the de-icer at the top. A better guess, though, would be that the tube is holed somewhere. Has anyone got any better explanations?
TIA

Re: Upside Down De-Icer
My advice is......find the receipt and take it back for a refund.
I realised a couple of years ago that many of the items I had purchased from Halfords showed defects after a short period so I try not to buy from them now.
