Do these offer any services to safeguard against identity theft etc?

When I tapped in Equifax I see they had a massive data breach recently.

Is there a better board for this question please?

They'll probably sell you worthless insurance against identity theft, but other than that I think that they have systems that you can sign up to for any changes to the data they hold on you. But you have to give them more data to do that.

Most of the data lost by Equifax related to USA & Canadian people, though there were Europeans affected.

I think this is probably as good as any for a general question like this, but I could be mistaken.
