We have solar PV panels and have had a leaflet through the door offering a 'Duracell Energy Bank' to store the energy we don't use and would otherwise have exported to the grid. There is not a lot of solid information - no idea of cost and no web site to find out more. Just a phone number which will no doubt result in a rep calling. However a web search does give a web site which declares they are "The UK’s number 1 solar company*". The asterisk refers to a footnote, which has no information to verify this claim. Again there is lots of marketing hype, but very little technical info or cost examples.
Does anyone have any experience of this company or of battery storage in general? I am reluctant to get involved unless the proposal is truly realistic.
