How to avoid the Panda Look?

#326312

Postby feder1 » July 15th, 2020, 12:48 pm

DAK how one can avoid looking like a panda if we get any summer sunshine please?

When we are all wearing face masks for outdoor shopping trips and the sun beats down, we will get nicely tanned except for the lower face under the mask.

If we prefer not to have the Panda Look, what can one do?

I've yet to see any law, rule, advice, guidance or science indicating we should wear masks outside, so I wouldn't worry.

I'd want to know more about the permeability of that material because, just looking at the photo, I struggle to imagine how it would have much effect as a mask or at least not anything like as effective as even a 3-later cloth mask..

On the original question, and ignoring the angry cries from pandas around the world shouting "we're insulted - what's so bad about the Panda look?", I would have thought that liberal use of a very high-factor sun cream would at least minimise if not eliminate the issue together with, as mentioned, sunglasses to avoid tanning the areas close to your eyes (you don't want to get sun cream in your eyes if trying to apply it too close).

Woosh! Your dead-pan sense of humour got past me on this occasion :). I'm usually sharper than that.
