At the outset I want to make it 100% clear that this is not an invitation to comment on the rights or wrongs of what’s happening in the Middle East. It’s a purely factual question, to which I haven’t been able to find an answer by Googling.
It’s clear that delivering aid supplies to Gaza is effectively impossible at the moment due to the inability to enter the country by road. However, looking at the map, Gaza has a long coastline, all of which seems to be sandy beaches, so my question is why cannot supplies be delivered by sea?
Although there don’t appear to be any major ports along the coast I would have thought that some form of landing craft might be used.

There is a small fishing port in Gaza. I imagine the Israelis won't want it used because it would be a resupply route for Hamas.
Landing craft same problem, also they are a specialist beast and the coastal waters are shallow.

Absolutely correct. There has been a blockade for sometime now to stop weapons and 'building materials' entering Gaza by sea. A few years back a Turkish ship was boarded by commandos absailing down from helicopters to stop it.
The 'building materials' were being used to build the Gaza Metro as the labyrinth of underground tunnels, some stretching into Israel, is known.
