My electricity supplier tells me that we are several hundred pound in credit. I should like to have some of that money repaid to me. How do I go about it?

Not an exact reply, but how about cancelling your direct debit and waiting until the balance falls to a level you find acceptable?

Actually getting a refund is probably quite a bit of work. Have you tried their chat bot?

I asked for it back and they quickly repaid some, but not all. You can also online ask to reduce your monthly payment. When I did that they automatically let me reduce it 10%
