Nothing here from Dod in 3 weeks. Not that long an absence but Dod is a prolific poster here, averaging over 7 posts a day, so thought I would ask about my favourite curmudgeon here. Anyone know?

Has anyone seen anything of Dod lately? I haven't noticed any posts by him for a while, and I PMs him without a response. As he would normally write back, I thing he may be unwell.

There was a post "somewhere" which suggested he was taking a break.

Yes, unfortunately you may be right. He mentioned some time ago that he was in hospital, that must have been 3 months or so ago. His views about investment, particularly about company culture, were full of wisdom and always worth reading IMO. His absence is a great loss to TLF.

Well let's just hope he's having a trip abroad or something similar.

I'm not sure how these things work, but I wonder if there's a way of admins knowing what's happened?

Though, I guess he either doesn't want to talk, or he is not well - or worse. It just would be nice to know and in the event that the worst has happened, pay tribute.

I'm pretty sure he lived alone as a widower.

Here's the post that said he was taking a break.

I'm hoping he'll be back soon (grumbling that we're creating non-financial posts) :-)

I read that as IAAG taking a break, not Dod unfortunately.

It has been known in the past for our Clariman to email users directly, for various reasons. I feel sure that if we are concerned he would be willing to send a precautionary query by email.
