I am trying to post something on a board which has a web-site link and for which i have been given permission by Stooz.
However when I Submit (after Preview), I am getting the message 'You are not approved to post links'
Am I doing something wrong? I cannot see anything in FAQ or rules that mention this.

ep

Hi ep, I think that there is a limitation set on the forum so that you have to have posted a number of messages before you can actually post links.
No idea what the number is, but the limit is there to stop spam bots. Join in a couple of conversations and you'll soon be able to post links.

I think the answer to this will depend on just what you mean when you say that you've 'been given permission by Stooz' to post a link.
If you just mean 'permission', after asking if this is OK to do, then that might be completely separate to the boards built-in safety-feature of not allowing new posters to put up URL links, to help avoid SPAM attacks.
I think the built-in safety-feature is that a new poster must make 5 posts before they get the ability for the software to allow posting URL's, so it might be worth posting a few test-posts over on the TEST board to get over that limit, and then give it another go -

Re: External links
Yes, permission was sought and given.
Thanks for the responses. I guess it is the minimum posts limit.
If it is 5, that's two to go. Pity one cannot aggregate the TMF ones!

Re: External links
Can confirm that the minimum limit was the problem.
I have managed to increase my count with real questions or comments, without resorting to Oooooh! Aaaah and similar moronic responses to other people's posts as happens on other media sites.
I have now posted what i needed to post (with some time urgency) on behalf of someone else.
If I have been hesitant in joining Lemon it is because of the sheer amount of time I wasted on TMF - when things were not going according to plan, it was much easier to scan the boards than tackle the problem(s)!
I shall not let it reduce to a simlar level on this site!
