Hi,
DAK the best stuff to use on an enamel bath? My efforts to date with a few of the cleaning sprays available from supermarkets haven't been particularly successful. I have some strange pink streaks where I used an aggressive substance on the limescale around the taps. I'd like to remove these if possible.
I am sure there are simple answers to this but I'm at a bit of a loss at the moment. Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Chris

For getting rid of coloured stains then bleach is usually the answer.
Try a thick one and leave it on for a few hours.
A quick google suggests that sulphuric acid is well known for leaving stains on enamel and hydrogen peroxide will remove them.

I'm not sure about that. Many years ago, my wife put bleach in an enamelled bath for a few hours. Completely ruined it

Re: Cleaning enamel bath
I've tried lots of different products since moving to a hard water area and this is about the best of the them - Gel Kilrock. Brush it on and leave for 5 minutes

Careful near rubber plug washers though as it can ruin these.

Re: Cleaning enamel bath
Do NOT use bleach on an enamel bath it will take the shiny surface off. I speak from experience unfortunately I'm not too sure what you can use but my initial thought would be to google manufacturers of enamel baths and ask their advice. My run in with bleach and enamel was long before the internet age and I had to live with a bath that required constant work to keep it looking halfway clean.
