Currently the government are walking blind. Until there is a vaccine or medicines to aid recovery, a quick reliable test is the only way forward
Tests today are now taking up to ten days to result, many are not applied correctly at home and are failed tests. Added to this the current tests are antibody tests that are only 85% reliable at best
A British company Avacta (AVCT) are expected to roll out a 10 minute antigen test during the summer, which is virus specific. The test works off saliva and looks like a pregnancy test. This will be a game changing low cost test, able to open the door back to the old world
