On January 17, 2019, Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.50 (U.S.) per share. The dividend is payable on March 15, 2019, to shareholders of record on February 22, 2019.

Holders of Carnival Corporation common stock or Carnival plc ADSs will receive a dividend payable in U.S. dollars. The dividend for Carnival plc ordinary shares will be payable in sterling unless shareholders elected to receive the dividend in U.S. dollars by February 22, 2019.

Dividends payable in sterling will be converted from U.S. dollars at the exchange rate quoted by Bloomberg (BFIX) at 12 noon London time on March 1, 2019 (US$1 = 75.62866 pence). Accordingly, the dividend payable in sterling on March 15, 2019, will be 37.81433 pence per share.

On March 13, 2020, Carnival Corporation provided notice to the Lenders to borrow approximately $3 billion under the Facility Agreement for a period of six months. As of this borrowing, Carnival Corporation will have fully drawn down the Facility Agreement. The Corporation borrowed under the Facility Agreement in order to increase its cash position and preserve financial flexibility in light of current uncertainty in the global markets resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak. The proceeds from the Facility Agreement borrowings will be available to be used for working capital, general corporate or other purposes. ... Given the uncertainty of the situation, the Corporation is currently unable to provide an earnings forecast, however we expect results of operations for the fiscal year ending November 30, 2020 to result in a net loss.

No kidding to the last sentence.
