Dealing with epidemics & diseases in the past

The Smithsonian Magazine, who permit passing articles to friends, have this fascinating article about how a special building in Hackney, London was built to deal with diseases and epidemics in the past.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/ ... IwODI4NAS2

Way in advance of the times and probably very necessary with the proximity of the busy docks.
