Delayed delivery of email announcements from Investegate

#98078

Postby langley59 » November 23rd, 2017, 10:20 am

Has anyone else noticed recently that emails from Investegate notifying RNS announcements for HYP shares are coming in later than usual? I used to review my inbox each morning and generally after 7am any Investegate emails were there so I could click and read the RNS. In the past few days/weeks these now seem to get delivered later in the day. Not a big deal as I just need to remember to log into Investegate directly each morning and check my list, its just that I had got used to using the email inbox as a prompt. A case in point I just learnt about Centrica's dismal trading statement at 10am rather than at 7am, the benefit being I suppose that I didn't splurt my tea all over the kitchen.

The CNA update notification from Investegate hit my inbox at 7:08 this morning so might the delay be due to other factors, perhaps related to your email provider?

It's possible Staffordian but I use AOL and have not noticed any other delays.

You should look at the full header of the email. That logs all the servers it has passed through and the times. It will also include the time it was emailed. This should help determine if it was sent late, or got delayed on the way.

Thank you Breelander. Next time it happens I will do that. Unfortunately I have deleted the emails.

I hope a final update on this subject.
Last Wednesday I emailed Investigate and received a reply asking for either a screen shot of the problem!!! A What? or phone them.
So phone I did and was assured the gentleman dealing with the problem would ring me back.Am still waiting.
As for the screen shot this was easier. One tech savvy 11 year old granddaughter contacted and I now have a 9 step idiots guide which works.
Anyway this morning I started receiving my RNS alerts on time so maybe the problem has been fixed without the phone call.
I hope Langley you are also receiving yours on time.

Thanks for that. Was still a problem for me on 30th Nov when my 30th Nov RNS's came into the mailbox after 1am on 1st Dec. I'll monitor when I next get one from my alerts list.

I received a 7am RNS from Smith & Nephew in my mailbox just after 7am this morning but a 7am one from Legal & General at about 1pm, so this still seems sporadic.

Hi Langley
I have also had late alerts from Investigate since last posting that they were arriving on time.
To correct this situation without contacting them I have decided to receive all my alerts from the London Stock Exchange.
Some of my alerts were already coming from them and have always been on time.
You can register for free click on My Account and scroll down for Email Alerts. The Link is below.

Odd, I'd have thought getting RNS alerts would be a practical consideration. "Brokers" doesn't seem any more appropriate, perhaps "Financial software"?
