In this instance, it's a post linking to another one on another board inserted on behalf of the linked post's author (StepOne) by a mod (redsturgeon) who "forgot" to do it in his moderator's capacity but used his personal identity instead.

I don’t think it matters who did the cross post, nor in what capacity. After all, I could have done it. What I was saying, jokingly, is that any replies should be on the the other board, if they are to assist the OP. Maybe this Topic should be locked.
