Not for me. I used to be a NIN fan, saw them live etc and they were one of the most terrifyingly deep bands to see. To mix that with girl-pop suggests the former was something to play with or make light of, which IME it really wasn't.
Hence this one does not work for me at all. What might work better is a mash-up where the editor understood both elements and their deeper meanings/backgrounds, they complimented each other, and they were skilfully brought together. That said, I still rather doubt it can be successfully done, same as how I imagine it's rare that two paintings can be successfully merged.
