Christmas comes early for Palace.
Funny how football has its historical quirks.
Last season Palace were the first team to get a point from City. This season they're the first to beat them at the Etihad since the Jurassic age.
A 'bogey team' in the making?
How sweet was Townsend's strike!
I have to admit I was expecting appreciation from IAAG for their efforts.....
Leo
(Head most certainly NOT in the clouds - will not be surprised by a home defeat against Cardiff on Wednesday)

Hey Leo - it was an absolute beauty, wasn't it!?!

Well, now that you've said that, I have actually managed to obtain a copy of the video from the Tesco security camera when we were at the service-desk and I was trying to tell my wife that I'd heard the final score..... -

Never mind the bloody club-card points - it was a Townsend 30-yarder!!!

Well all I can say is here's to historical-quirks - do you remember who won the league the last time Palace won away at City????
Long way to go yet, of course, and I expect plenty of scouse-twists to come, of course, but isn't it just great to be nearly 20 games in and we've still got a bunch of teams that could win it??
Well done Roy.... You did owe us though, eh?
Cheers,

Yes Christmas was unexpected but brief. As I expected - after the Lord Mayor's Show - Palace drop 2 points to Cardiff. Had approximately one zillion shots but simply couldn't score. Then a deserved home defeat to a quality Chelsea.
Now away to Wolves.

Now a great victory at Wolves! CPFC must be the most unpredictable team in the EPL.

More favours to Liverpool.
Another example of playing well away (OK not well enough) compared to the shite they serve up at home.

Very entertaining game to watch though Leo, for a neutral like me. CP played extremely well and they will be fine this season. I'm not sure what expectations you had for CP at the start of the season but if they were anything like mine with WHU, you just don't want to be relegated.
In other news it was another poor performance from WHU. Hopefully, we should be fine this season but our performance against those around us is abysmal. We fare much better against the top and the bottom.
Bah.

I'm an armchair fan only but the suffering is genuine enough. Same for you to a lesser degree HYD!
At last a decent home performance against Spurs. It seems CP play best when teams come at them. Just 28% of the possession yesterday but 6 shots on target to Spurs 4.
For the smaller PL teams the Cup is still a tasty prize to go for but like them all retaining PL status is the priority.
Vital game against Saints on Wednesday. Tough games, all of them.

Not too much trouble for CP at Doncaster.
However, and perhaps this is just me, I didn't find it a great advert for attractive football.

I think Palace should declare homelessness and play all their games away.
Failing that the whole squad is given some kind of corrective therapy.

Seems that CP, WHU and Newcastle are doing their best today to keep the relegation fight interesting.
Sadly, Fulham are still uninterested in joining in.

Another top show from Palace away from home. AT LAST Benteke finds the net. I really hope that breaks the spell and he finally fulfils his potential. Safety 100% assured now, leaving the Seagulls and Cardiff to fight to the end.

CP do their rivals a favour and relegate Cardiff. Not that the bastards will be grateful.
Another good away win but just 4 home wins this season - WTF?
