TUI's yield has increased today.
I hold in my HYP, and today I'm looking at the TUI news like Mr Brightside.
Now, go on you lot, off the screens and book your holidays at the TUI shops. We'll show zee Germans.
Cheers OLTB.

Forget the holiday companies, just buy the Lilo manufacturers
British holidaymakers throw away almost 3 million lilos each year, survey claims

Re: TUI's yield has increased today.
I wouldn't know how to work out the yield for Tui. I see dividend data is quoting a single dividend of 72 cents ( euro) but then there is the complication of German withholding tax, so what would the effective dividend be?

The tax is 25% plus a tax on the tax "solidarity surcharge" of 5.5%, making it 26.375%. The 2018 actual div was 72 eurocents so deducting the tax leaves 53.0¢. At the current FX rate that's 46.6p so at 984p (after today's big fall) the historical yield is 4.7%.
The 2019 div forecast is 79¢ which after tax is 58.2¢, at the current FX rate 51.1p for a forward yield of 5.2%.

Re: TUI's yield has increased today.
Looking at the Alliance News summary
https://www.londonstockexchange.com/exc ... 04100.html
"TUI..... annual earnings for its current financial year will be "broadly stable" on last year due to "extraordinary" hot weather and the weakness of the pound."
"For the year ending September 30, TUI expects adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation to be broadly stable on the record performance in the prior year of EUR1.17 billion. "
I guess that the market is focused on the following statement
"Consequently, we are not reiterating our guidance of at least 10% [compound annual growth rate] in underlying Ebitda at constant currency for the three years to 2020"
An 18% drop does seem overbaked.

Completely off topic but as I sit here at Gatwick waiting for replacement aircraft to be loaded up after over 4 hours after engine problems with first plane, I am not seeing tui in a good light at the moment.

To misquote D Tusk,
"There is a special Hell reserved for you..and it's called Gatwick Airport"
