I read the article too and it sounded quite convincing. Gave up on Galliford Try today after another downgrade and bought DNE with the proceeds.

That, plus a couple of directors buying, presumably accounts for the recent rapid increase in share price.

Hi all - are people generally taking up the current tender offer in the proportion offered? It's the first time I've been confronted with having to make a decision like this. I'm minded to do so but just wanted to see if there are any contrarian views?

Thanks for the prompt: it's a decision I need to take, too.
On the one hand, a tender offer above market price: what's not to like? Buy more in the market to top up the holding, while selling into the offer. On the other hand, such free-money scenarios are never quite as simple as they seem. If I do that it'll be part of a strategic move: sell from the SIPP to free cash, buy in the ISA to retain a holding in a stock that keeps generating profitable events!
But like you I have yet to decide. The decision is a Nice Problem To Have, with both options looking attractive.
